The purpose of the site is to promote the experience of the Richard Morris Hunt Fellowship.  This professional honor is co-sponsored between the French Heritage Society and The American Architecture Foundation.  One American architect is selected every 2 years and one French architect is chosen in the alternating years.  The selected architect is sent to either France or The United States to experience the professional practice of preservation architecture through the shadowing of professionals within the preservation and conservation fields.
